Did you know that switching from monthly to fortnightly payments can save you thousands in interest and shave years off your loan term?
There are 12 months in a year, but 26 fortnights (which equals 13 months). By paying half your monthly amount every fortnight, you end up making one full extra month of payments each year without really feeling it.
- Monthly: 12 payments per year.
- Fortnightly: 26 payments per year (equivalent to 13 monthly payments).
